What's the most useful course you took in school?

I am currently taking a course at the University of Hawaii- Hilo called Seminar in Listening. Being present and centered and truly, deeply listening to another is one of the most precious gifts we can offer. Take a moment to reflect on your own listening skills. How deeply do you listen? How do you feel when you are empathically and truly heard by another human being? As catalysts for change in this technologically advanced information age we must be grounded in human contact and relationships. Do you take time to listen to yourself? Listening is a meditative practice that we cultivate with our awareness and intention. Take a few breaths to pause and linger in the silence, you never know what may be coming next.
